February
20th - 27th, 2005 (Brandeis February Break)
Did you know that some Jews actually live in places like
Chile?
Meet them.
See their country.
Escape the cold Boston winter - Experience summer in winter - Watch the toilets flush backwards!
-------------------------
The Jewish Adventure
in Chile is being offered exclusively to Jewish
students currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at a university
in the greater Boston area. This unique opportunity will allow qualified
applicants to:
- Explore Santiago, Chile
- Hike the Andes
- Participate in discussion groups, seminars and workshops dealing
with a host of Jewish issues and topics - from both a mystical
and rational perspective
- Experience the “international flavor” of
world Jewry
Specifically, the goals of the Jewish Adventure in Chile are to:
- Provide an open forum
to discuss and debate many of the most important issues related
to the relevance of Judaism in today’s
world
- Encounter the similarities and differences of Jews from other
cultures and backgrounds
The Jewish Adventure in Chile is open to all Jewish students. Priority
will be given to those students that have never participated in this
type of program before and to those who feel that they have not had
the opportunity to explore their Jewish heritage in a deep or meaningful
way.
All applicants will be subject to an interview. The staff of the
Jerusalem Fellowships will determine acceptance independently, and
their decision is final. Qualified candidates will be required to
attend an orientation meeting at a date to be specified.
